MS Deutschland – The Floating Grand Hotel

Built in Kiel in 1998 and christened by former German President Richard von Weizsäcker, MS Deutschland is the epitome of German cruise passion. The magnificent architecture, the classic maritime design, and the artistically valuable interior décor – all of this will captivate you the moment you step aboard. MS Deutschland is truly one of a kind. Enjoy a first-class holiday in the style of the 1920s.

Spread across seven passenger decks, thoughtfully designed with detailed elements of Classicism, Art Nouveau, and Art Deco, guests feel right at home. The restaurants and bars make it easy to indulge and relax – the atmosphere is inviting, the service outstanding, and the culinary delights varied and exquisite. In addition to main meals, guests can enjoy early bird breakfast, 11:00 a.m. bouillon, afternoon coffee and tea with a wide selection of pastries, a varied midnight snack, and in-cabin service for drinks, snacks, and breakfast. Naturally, house wines are included with lunch and dinner on board MS Deutschland.

Cabins

Elegant Design. The very tastefully appointed cabins on MS Deutschland are mostly located on the outside. The cabin furnishings and service correspond to those of an upscale comfort hotel. Especially when traveling, having your "own four walls" is very important to retreat after all the experiences on land and onboard. Enjoy your private space!

All cabins feature two beds or one (partially foldable) lower bed plus an additional bed that serves as a couch during the day. Some cabins also have a foldable upper bed. In addition to wardrobes, the mirrored dresser with drawers offers extra storage space.

Amenities include satellite TV (reception depends on the sailing area), individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, safe, minibar, hairdryer, and Wi-Fi (not included, reception depends on the sailing area). Bathrooms have a shower/WC, washbasin, and mirror. Cabins from category T-W upwards are equipped with bath/WC (except U+ with shower/WC). Bathrobes are provided in every cabin for use onboard. Cabins on the Commodore and Admiral decks feature a French balcony with a large sliding door.

Cabins 7015, 8001, 8002, 8041, and 8042 have their own private balcony. Cabin 8042 is wheelchair/handicap accessible. The cabin offers more freedom of movement due to fewer pieces of furniture in the living area. Upon request, room service delivers drinks, light meals, and breakfast to your cabin. A fruit basket with fresh fruit is replenished daily upon request. For special needs, the higher cabin categories and suites offer Gold and Silver Service.

Culinary Variety
The popular ship MS Deutschland leaves nothing to be desired. The tasteful bars and lounges offer ample space for socializing. In the restaurants, freshly prepared and delicious delicacies are served daily. MS Deutschland features two à la carte restaurants: "Berlin," with two seating times (you are welcome to indicate your preferred dining time in advance), and "Vier Jahreszeiten" (with table reservations available exclusively onboard), as well as a Lido buffet restaurant.
